The material is developed by Good Natured Products and the products are USDA certified as 85% biobased. This bioplastic is non-toxic and theoretically biodegradable, however the products must not be abandoned in nature where they can not degrade. To do this a specialized sector is necessary, such does not exist yet in Switzerland.
